Bass Coast Festival is hiring for Teardown Team.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Teardown Team role is essential for the efficient dismantling of festival infrastructure. This physically demanding position reports to the Teardown Manager and supports safe takedown operations across the site. Tasks include moving materials, packing gear, and assisting other teams with heavy lifting.

The successful candidates must be available to be on the festival site from July 13 - July 17, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Report to the Teardown Manager

  • Engage in physical labour

  • Tear down equipment, pack containers, and organise rental returns

  • Assist with the teardown of turf, fencing, tents, scaffolding, trenches, flags, rebar, tables, and barricades

  • Move picnic tables

  • Assist Site Décor with heavy lifting

  • Other duties as required


    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

    • Teamwork and communication skills

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

    • Time management and attention to detail

    • Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively

    • Comfort working in varied outdoor conditions

    • Self-motivated and reliable

    • Experience with teardown, labour, or events is an asset

    • Must be legally eligible to work unrestricted in Canada


    HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

    Contract Duration:
    July 13 - July 17, 2026: On the festival site.

    Compensation:

    Flat rate contract: $200 / day
    Access to the Festival starting on Friday July 10, 2026
    Access to Volunteer Camp area
