Please attach a high-quality sketch of what you wish to create at Bass Coast. Rough sketches are not accepted as this is a crucial part of the application.

For successful applicants, any artwork images submitted may be used on the Bass Coast website, app, and for promotional purposes. However, the Bass Coast Art Director will make the final image selection. The Art Curation team may select an alternate image for the profile if needed.

Image Specifications:

Accepted file types: JPG / PNG.
Accepted file dimensions: 600x600px min. - 1000x1000px max.
Accepted file size: 2MB max.
Aspect Ratio: The image will be cropped square as needed.

Please list any mediums you will be using for your mural and how they will be applied.

Mural canvases are standardized at 16 ft wide x 8 ft high, made up of four 8 ft x 4 ft black primed plywood panels.

Murals are located throughout the festival site, including beside stages. There is one application for all mural artists. The Art Curation team will determine the placement of each mural, and these locations are non-negotiable.

Mural artists are supported through a combination of event access and financial contributions:

• Event access for two (2) people (equivalent value $1,200)

• $500 for supplies/compensation

• Early entry

• Free parking

• Interactive Art camping

• The piece becomes part of the Bass Coast Permanent Collection

Collaborative murals receive the same support as individual murals. Support is provided per mural, not per artist, so both collaborators share the benefits listed above.

Power will be allocated on an individual basis depending on the needs of each mural.

Main power hubs will be set up in the forest and field and ready for use on Thursday, July 8th, at 9AM.

You are responsible for having enough power bars and cables to reach an outlet. Murals may be 20’ - 50’ away from a power hub.

Bass Coast provides basic lighting for artists to work with and for gallery exhibits at night. It is recommended to bring additional working lights as backup for anyone primarily painting during the night.
If any RGB or UV lighting is required to enhance the artwork, it must be provided by the artist.

Mural Artists are responsible for mitigating all anticipated safety concerns before applying and or arriving on-site. If any unexpected safety concerns arise during setup or throughout the festival, immediately notify the Art Curation team. Bass Coast reserves the right to remove any art posing a safety risk, and financial funding and event access may be revoked.
