Please attach a high-quality sketch of what you wish to create at Bass Coast. Rough sketches are not accepted as this is a crucial part of the application.

For successful applicants, any artwork images submitted may be used on the Bass Coast website, app, and for promotional purposes. However, the Bass Coast Art Director will make the final image selection. The Art Curation team may select an alternate image for the profile if needed.

Image Specifications:

Accepted file types: JPG / PNG.
Accepted file dimensions: 600x600px min. - 1000x1000px max.
Accepted file size: 2MB max.
Aspect Ratio: The image will be cropped square as needed.

Please list any mediums you will be using for your mural and how they will be applied.

Mural canvases are standardized at 16ft wide x 8ft high, comprising four 8ft x 4ft plywood panels in either black or white for initial painting.

Murals are located throughout the festival site. There is only one application category available. Our Curation team will decide which artists will headline the 2026 exhibit and determine the placement of each artist. These locations are non-negotiable.

Mural artists are supported through a combination of event access and financial contributions.

Collaborative murals receive the same level of partial support as individual murals, based on assignment to either Category 1 or Category 2. Each collaborative project will be assigned to a single category by the Art Curation team, with benefits distributed as outlined.

Power will be allocated on an individual basis depending on the needs of each mural.

Main power hubs will be set up in the forest and field and ready for use on Thursday, July 9th, at 9AM.

You are responsible for having enough power bars and cables to reach an outlet. Murals may be 20’ - 50’ away from a power hub.

Bass Coast provides basic lighting for artists to work with and for gallery exhibits at night. It is recommended to bring additional working lights as backup for anyone primarily painting during the night.
If any RGB or UV lighting is required to enhance the artwork, it must be provided by the artist.

Mural Artists are responsible for mitigating all anticipated safety concerns before applying and or arriving on-site. If any unexpected safety concerns arise during setup or throughout the festival, immediately notify the Art Curation team. Bass Coast reserves the right to remove any art posing a safety risk, and financial funding and event access may be revoked.
