PARKING ASSISTANT MANAGER

Bass Coast Festival is hiring a Parking Assistant Manager.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The position is responsible for assisting the Parking Manager with overseeing all parking operations on the festival site.
The successful candidates must be available to be on the festival site from July 6 - July 14, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Work with the Parking Manager to develop a detailed understanding of all parking responsibilities.

Set up parking related signs with the Parking Manager.

Ensure fire roads remain clear for the duration of the festival.

Manage volunteers, supervise changeovers, and ensure volunteers have water, bathroom breaks etc.

Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for volunteers.

Establish positive relationships with all managers onsite, specifically Security, First Aid, and Harm Reduction.

Assist with staff orientation (traffic flow, radio protocol, security concerns).

Act as Manager when Parking Manager is off duty.

Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Experience with festival or large event parking and traffic management.

Experience managing a team of volunteers.

TPC certification is an asset but not required.

Effective interpersonal skills and team spirit.

Known as a leader and motivator.

Must possess superior organisational and problem solving abilities.

Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment.

Comfortable working in the outdoor elements.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada unrestricted.
HOURS AND COMPENSATION:
Contract Duration:
Numerous Assistant Manager positions available with varied schedules. Exact schedule to be determined upon hiring.
May - June, 2026: Available for minimal pre-show hours
July 6 - 13, 2026: On festival site. (exact dates to be determined, some positions have more days than others)
Compensation:
Flat rate contract: $200 / day
