Bass Coast Festival is hiring a Green Team Teardown.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Green Team Teardown role is crucial for the efficient dismantling of festival infrastructure with sustainability in mind. Engaging in physical labour, this position works with the Green Team to ensure a clean festival area and supports the implementation of waste minimization plans, and assists with various tear-down duties.

The successful candidates must be available to be on the festival site from July 13 - July 17, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Engage in physical labour for festival infrastructure teardown.

  • Collaborate with the Green Team for clean festival areas and campgrounds.

  • Provide physical support for Green Team's waste minimization plan.

  • Assist in coordinating waste, recycling, and compost transfer schedules.

  • Aid in setting up teardown-specific recycling, waste, and compost stations.

  • Assist in removing and storing Green Team signage.

  • Participate in relevant meetings and communications.

  • Other teardown duties as needed.


    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

    • Teamwork and collaboration skills.

    • Effective time management for teardown deadlines.

    • Problem-solving skills for unexpected challenges.

    • Clear communication to coordinate tasks with teams.

    • Organisational skills for orderly teardown.

    • Attention to detail for thorough cleanup.

    • Commitment to safety protocols and hazard awareness.

    • Flexibility for various physical tasks and ability to perform tasks for extended periods.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    • Previous physical labour or teardown experience is beneficial.

    • Self-motivated and comfortable working alone or collaboratively.

    • Experience driving a truck and trailer is an asset

    • Capability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.

    • Passion for the high-pressure and fast-paced festival production.

    • Experience with festivals or events is an asset.

    • Enthusiasm for efficient teardown in festival production.

    • Must be legally eligible to work unrestricted in Canada.


    HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

    Contract Duration:
    July 13 - July 17, 2026: On the festival site.

    Compensation:

    Flat rate contract: $200 / day

    All Bass Coast team members work remotely and are required to have their own computer and workspace (whether at home or elsewhere). The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and work remotely with team members. In-person meetings may be required.
